Is the accusation of genocid only a projection?

In the context of October 7, blame reversal most often takes the form of accusations of genocide. Instead of directing these accusations at Hamas, whose atrocities bear eliminatory and genocidal traits, the intention and execution of genocide is projected onto Israel and its military actions in Gaza. References to the suffering of the Palestinian population often serve as a pretext for seemingly legitimate, but essentially anti-Semitic “criticism.” The actual cause, Hamas' terrorist attack on Israel, has been and continues to be ignored. Even in parts of the media and politics, it is rarely mentioned that Hamas abuses civilians in Gaza as human shields and therefore bears responsibility for civilian casualties.
